Babies are constantly growing and learning about the world
around them. Each day, you will learn more about what she needs and wants.
- Touch - Babies like being held, rocked,
stroked and carried. A sturdy but gentle touch can help them feel
secure. Your baby may reach out to touch you or hold onto your finger.
- Hearing - Babies can hear before they are
born. Babies love to hear you talk to them, will listen to your voice and
other sounds, will look at your face or towards the sound, and may make sounds
back at you.
- Smell - Babies have a good sense of smell
that helps stimulate their appetite when they smell their mother's milk or
formula.
- Vision - Babies can follow slow-moving
objects and can focus on things up to 8 inches away. Babies are
attracted to human features and will show preference for their parents' faces.
